Aloo Poha


This dish was once a snack for me.As years have passed by this has become more a dish for dinner.

I hope you enjoy this recipe.

Ingredients :

2 cups Poha (beaten rice or aval)
1 Potato
4 onion (shallots)
1/2 spoon Ginger garlic paste
2 Green Chilli
turmeric,mustard seeds,urad dal,chana dal,curry leaves,coriander leaves,Lemon concentrate,vegetable oil,salt


Cooking Method :

Soak the poha in water for 5-10 minutes and drain the water later.Cut the potato into small pieces and boil it for 2-3 minutes.Drain the water and keep it aside.Take a pan,heat the oil and add mustard seeds,chana dal,ural dal,curry leaves.Then add the onion,green chillies and fry it for sometime.Add the ginger-garlic paste and fry it.Then add the boiled potato pieces,turmeric powder and mix it thoroughly.Then add the poha so that turmeric is evenly mixed.Add salt to taste and fry it for around 5 minutes.Garnish with corainder leaves.

Just before serving add some lemon concentrate for better taste.
